Golly Gee, Look Whos Three

My wonderful son turned three over the weekend. Wahoo, Terrible Twos are over!!

These were taken at the park where we had a get together. It was perfect weather for the kids to play on the playground. As we got into the car to go home, the heavens opened and it started pouring. Talk about perfect timing.

Here is a current picture of Hailey since I haven't updated recently. DJ finally held her. We were so proud.

Notice she is wearing the same outfit as Glory. I guess sisters really do think alike.

The word of the day is....

DJ's new favorite word is Sorry. He usually says it before he does something to apologize for. We found this out yesterday as we were sitting on the couch just hanging at the end of a long day. Hailey was laying on the floor kicking her legs and cooing. DJ looked at us and said, "Sorry, Sorry", then he got into his little car and starting scooting backwards towards Hailey. We stopped him quickly, to which he replied "Sorry" (used correctly there!!) then he happily drove the car forward.

Defying Gravity

I have been waiting for this day for a long, long time. The day has finally come that I get to see the musical that I have been singing the songs to for years.

I have loved the soundtrack from the first moment I heard the music. I was so excited. The only time we could get seats together was on a Thursday matinee performance. We, luckily, ended up with two groups of two seats. Not together, but not too far apart. So, me, Mom, Tami, and Grace headed downtown. We met Val and Layla at P.F. Changs for lunch (yummy, lettuce wraps). Then headed to the theatre.
Side note: isn't Tami's belly so cute? Only four more weeks until I get a new niece!!

I thought this was very cute merchandise spot. I didn't want to stand in the very long line to purchase something. So I coveted from afar.

We went into the theatre and found our seats. I was so, so excited. Apparantly, everyone else was too, because when Elphaba came on stage for the very first time, everyone started clapping. She was phenomenal. I could have listened to her songs all day. Glinda was okay , but Elpheba stole the show. If anyone has a chance, ever, to see Wicked, go see it. It is one the best musicals ever! I recommend it highly.

Pay It Forward!

Ok, so I decided to participate a little blog game called "Pay it forward."

How it works: The FIRST THREE people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a gift from ME. What it will be and when it will arrive will be a total surprise. The CATCH is that YOU MUST PLAY TOO! Before you leave your comment here, write a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (you can cut and paste these instructions). Then come back and let me know that you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift.

So, to all my family and friends, don't make me feel like a dork. Leave a comment and play along!

I've decided that the gifts I give will be something handcrafted by me. So it might be cookies (if you live close), or something else creative and crafty. It will be a surprise, but I think you will like it.
